The Indignant Bunnytell us about your background

I come from a very creative family, but this is the first time I’ve worked in an artistic capacity. Prior to creating my business, I worked in retail and customer service.

tell us about what you create

I create necklace, earrings and brooches out of polymer clay. I love the vivid colours and eye-catching patterns that you can create from a few small lumps of clay.

what made you start making your pieces?

I had always wanted to make my own jewellery, but I’d always believed that it was just a pipe dream, and so I never made the effort to pursue it seriously. One morning I was waiting for my train to work, and I had a lightbulb moment. I realised that I wanted to work harder to make my dream come true, rather then living my life employed in a job I didn’t enjoy.

What is your inspiration/influences?

A lot of my inspiration is taken from the world around me. I find that a lot of my work is influenced by colours, shapes and tribal imagery.

What materials do you use?

Polymer clay, all kinds of twine and string, sterling silver or niobium ear wires/plates/findings.

tell us about your creative process?

Sometimes I’ll think of the colours that I want to work with, and then use my water colour paints to design a new range to work on. Other times I’ll just head to the studio and play around, and see what I come up with.

why did you choose in.cube8r?

I love that In.cube8r supports all things hand made, and that they have a great community of artists and crafters. I wanted to be able to support that too, while also representing my own work.

anything else you would like to add?

Thank you for supporting everything hand made! :)

where else can we find you?
