tell us about your background
We are the Australian Natural Soap Company – a husband and wife team, Anthony Scherz and Emma Cook. We fell in love with natural soap making when we began experimenting with pure Australian plant oils.
tell us about what you create
All our hand made soaps are palm oil free, cruelty free, paraben free, detergent free and vegan. We use only natural plant oils such as avocado, macadamia, olive and sweet almond, which we source mostly from Australia and are very moisturising on the skin. We also use pure essential oils, which make our soaps smell amazing. We make our soaps in big blocks and cut them as needed so each bar is unique.
what made you start making your pieces?
We really wanted to have skin care that was completely natural and palm oil free. The one thing that was hard to find was natural and palm oil free soap so we started making our own and just fell in love with the creative soap making process.
What is your inspiration/influences?
Australian plant oils. We think Australia has the best plant oils in the world for soap making. We are especially in love with Avocado oil. It is just a beautiful oil to work with and is so gentle and moisturising on the skin.
What materials do you use?
Natural plant oils – most of which we source from Australia.
