tell us about your background
Margaret is a Graphic Artist who has worked in Advertising and the clothing industry for many years. She now specialises in Photography. She loves Nature Photography, Travel Photography, and People.
tell us about what you create
I create images of beauty, ones that move me or inspire me and pass that on to my viewers. I create prints that can be hung on the wall as a decoration for a room or office, cards that can be given as greeting cards or kept. The photographs can be potentially used for other products as well. Say a personalised calendar.
what made you start making your pieces?
I was diagnosed with a blood cancer 6 years ago, and I went out into Nature for walks and saw all this amazing beauty around me. Bought a camera to take photos of the beautiful flowers and butterflies that I was finding in the bushland.
I then built a library of pictures, and realised that I wanted to share them with the world.
What is your inspiration/influences?
The photographers Anne Geddes, Steve Parish, and Peter Lik.
What materials do you use?
For my cards I use Card boards, and hand made paper sometimes. The prints are on photographic papers.
tell us about your creative process?
I go to local bush lands for walks, and take photos of what I find there. Take photos of people, events, and my Travels to overseas countries. I especially love the people and faces of different cultures to my own.
why did you choose in.cube8r?
I walked past one day and loved the vibe it had there, and I love the pink colour magenta it drew me in. Being a very colour orientated person. I liked the idea of being with other Artists as well.
anything else you would like to add?
I am available to shoot events like weddings, family portrait sittings, modelling folios I also like doing.
